IRISH TAKEOVER PANEL ACT, 1997 (COMMENCEMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1997

I, PAT RABBITTE, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 27 (2) of the Irish Takeover Panel Act, 1997 (No. 5 of 1997), and the Enterprise and Employment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 165 of 1997 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Irish Takeover Panel Act, 1997 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1997.

2. The 1st day of July, 1997, is hereby fixed as the day on which so much of the Irish Takeover Panel Act, 1997 (No. 5 of 1997), as is not in operation immediately before the making of this Order (being the provisions of the said Act specified in the Table to this Article) shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the 1st day of July, 1997 as the day on which the remaining provisions of the Irish Takeover Panel Act, 1997 shall come into operation.
