ELECTORAL ACT, 1992 (COMMENCEMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1992.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (6) of the Electoral Act, 1992 (No. 23 of 1992) hereby orders as follows:

1. This order may be cited as the Electoral Act, 1992 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1992.

2. On the 6th day of November, 1992:—

( a ) section 166 (a) of the Electoral Act, 1992 , shall come into operation for the purpose of effecting the substitution of section 25 of the Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act, 1937 (No. 30 of 1937) insofar as the said section, as substituted, relates to section 57 of the Electoral Act, 1992 , and

( b ) section 173 (c) of the Electoral Act, 1992 , shall come into operation for the purpose of effecting the substitution of subsection (1) of section 74 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983) insofar as the said subsection, as substituted, relates to section 57 of the Electoral Act, 1992 and to section 25 of the Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act 1937 (substituted by section 166 of the Electoral Act, 1992 ).
