S.I. No. 325/1981 - Road Transport (International Carriage of Goods by Road) (No. 3) Order, 1981.


I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 (2) of the Road Transport Act, 1971 (No. 8 of 1971) (inserted by section 4 of the Road Transport Act, 1978 (No. 8 of 1978)), and the Tourism and Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1980 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Transport (International Carriage of Goods by Road) (No. 3) Order, 1981.

2. A permit granted by the Minister for Transport and issued by the Ministry of Communications, Road Traffic Department of the Republic of Finland under the agreement made on the 19th day of May, 1981, between the Government and the Government of the Republic of Finland on the international carriage of goods by road (being an international agreement relating to international transport by road) shall be deemed to be a restricted road freight licence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Instrument is to declare that permits granted to Finnish carriers by the Minister for Transport and issued by the competent authority of the Republic of Finland under the Road Transport Agreement of 19th May, 1981 between Ireland and the Republic of Finland shall be deemed to be restricted road freight licences.
