S.I. No. 308/1981 - Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 16) Warrant, 1981.


I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 , 3 and 6 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 , (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows:—

1. (1) This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 16) Warrant, 1981.

(2) This Warrant shall come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1981.

2. In this Warrant—

“the Principal Warrant” means the Foreign Parcel Post Warrant, 1953 ( S.I. No. 418 of 1953 );

“the Warrant of 1980” means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 14) Warrant, 1980 ( S.I. No. 203 of 1980 ).

3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 3 of the Warrant of 1980) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Warrant.

4. The Third Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 3 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 15) Warrant of 1981) ( S.I. No. 118 of 1981 ) of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Warrant.

5. Part I (inserted by Regulation 5 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 13) Warrant, 1979 ( S.I. No. 262 of 1979 )) and Part II (inserted by Regulation 4 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 14) Warrant, 1980 ( S.I. No. 203 of 1980 )) of the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant are hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Warrant.

6. The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 4 of the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 15) Warrant of 1981) of the entries in the Fourth Schedule to this Warrant.
