S.I. No. 216/1981 - Road Transport (International Carriage of Goods by Road) (No. 2) Order, 1981.
I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 (2) of the Road Transport Act, 1971 (No. 8 of 1971) (inserted by section 4 of the Road Transport Act, 1978 (No. 8 of 1978)), and the Tourism and Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1980 ), hereby order as follows: | ||||||||
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Transport (International Carriage of Goods by Road) (No. 2) Order, 1981. | ||||||||
2. A permit granted by the Minister for Transport and issued by the competent authority of the Italian Republic under the agreement made on the 22nd day of April, 1981, between the Government and the Government of the Italian Republic on the international carriage of goods by road (being an international agreement relating to international transport by road) shall be deemed to be a restricted road freight licence. | ||||||||

The effect of this Instrument is to declare that permits granted to Italian carriers by the Minister for Transport and issued by the competent authority of the Italian Republic under the Road Transport Agreement of 22nd April, 1981 between Ireland and the Italian Republic shall be deemed to be restricted road freight licences. |
