POUNDS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1980.

I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 of the Pounds (Provision and Maintenance) Act, 1935 (No. 17 of 1935), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1980.

2. The Pounds Regulations, 1938 to 1977, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Pounds Regulations, 1938 to 1980.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. The Pounds Regulations, 1938 (S. R. & O., No. 149 of 1938), shall have effect, in relation to chattels and animals impounded on or after the 7th day of July, 1980, as if the following Table were substituted for the Table (inserted by the Pounds (Amendment) Regulations, 1977, ( S.I. No. 349 of 1977 )) in the Second Schedule:

Poundkeepers' Fees covering impounding and care of chattels and impounding care and sustenance of and attendance on animals.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to increase with effect as on and from 7th July, 1980 the poundkeepers' fees prescribed in the Pounds Regulations, 1938 to 1977.
