PROSECUTION OF OFFENCES ACT, 1974 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1975.

I, LIAM MAC COSGAIR, Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 (2) of the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 (No. 22 of 1974), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 (Commencement) Order, 1975.

2. The 19th day of January, 1975 is hereby fixed as the day on which sections 3 , 5 , 7 , 9 and 10 of the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 (No. 22 of 1974), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the date on which Sections 3 , 5 , 7 , 9 and 10 of the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 come into operation.
