HEALTH ACT, 1970 (COMMENCEMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1971.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970) hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Health Act, 1970 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1971.

2. In this Order "the Act" means the Health Act, 1970 .

3. Sections 52 (2), 56 (3) and 59 (3) of the Act shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1971.

4. Section 3 of the Act shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1971 for the purpose of effecting the repeal of section 15 (9) of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation sections 52 (2), 56 (3) and 59 (3) of the Health Act, 1970 . It also brings into operation section 3 of that Act for the purpose of effecting the repeal of the present appeals provision relating to limited eligibility. This is now obselete and is being replaced by provisions contained in the Health Contributions Regulations, 1971.
