VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COMMITTEES (ALLOWANCES TO MEMBERS) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1969.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 (4) of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1947 (No. 1 of 1947), as amended by section 5 of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1962 (No. 28 of 1962), hereby make the following Rules :

1. These Rules may be cited as the Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Rules, 1969.

2. In these Rules " the Rules of 1964 " means the Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Rules, 1964 ( S.I. No. 226 of 1964 ).

3. The Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) Rules, 1963 ( S.I. No. 114 of 1963 ), are hereby amended by—

(a) the substitution of " twenty-five shillings " for " fifteen shillings " (inserted by the Rules of 1964) in Rule 3 (a),

( b) the substitution of " thirty-five shillings " for " twenty-five shillings " (inserted by the Rules of 1964) in Rule 3 (b) and

(c) the substitution of " thirty-five shillings " for " twenty shillings " (inserted by the Rules of 1964) in Rule 4.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These rules govern the payment of allowances to members of county vocational education committees and of approved sub-committees of such county committees in respect of their attendance at meetings of the county committees or approved sub-committees.
