SOCIAL WELFARE (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT, 1964 (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1964.

I, CAOIMHGHÍNM Ó BEOLÁIN, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (4) of section 5 and sub-section (2) of section 8 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 (No. 28 of 1964) hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 (Appointed Day) Order, 1964.

2. The 1st day of November, 1964, is hereby appointed as the day on which sections 5 , 8 , 9 and 10 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 , shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 1st November, 1964, Sections 5 , 8 , 9 and 10 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 , (No. 28 of 1964) which provide for the payment of increases of old age pensions, both contributory and non-contributory, in respect of qualified children.
