HOLIDAYS (EMPLOYEES) ACT, 1961 (CHURCH HOLIDAY) ORDER, 1963.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (6) of section 8 of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1961 (No. 33 of 1961), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1961 (Church Holiday) Order, 1963.

2. The 6th day of January, except when it falls on a Sunday, is hereby appointed to be a Church Holiday for the purposes of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1961 ( S.I. No. 33 of 1961 ), in substitution for the 1st day of January.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to appoint the 6th January, except when it falls on a Sunday, as a Church Holiday for the purposes of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1961 , in substitution for 1st January.
