OIL POLLUTION OF THE SEA (CONVENTION COUNTRIES) (MISCELLANEOUS) ORDER, 1959. | ||||||||||||||
I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, being satisfied that the governments of the countries specified in the Schedule hereto have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954, hereby, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 19 of the Oil Pollution of the Sea Act, 1956 (No. 25 of 1956), order as follows : 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Convention Countries) (Miscellaneous) Order, 1959. | ||||||||||||||
(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of May, 1959. 2. It is hereby declared that the countries specified in the Schedule to this Order have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954. | ||||||||||||||

This Order declares that the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954, has been accepted by the United Kingdom, Mexico, Sweden, the Federal Republic of Germany, Denmark, Canada, Norway, Ireland, Belgium, France and The Netherlands. |
