STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1940. No. 77.

INSURANCE ACT, 1936 (PARTS II, V, AND VII) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1940.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 2 of the Insurance Act, 1936 (No. 45 of 1936), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed therefor by any order or orders of the Minister for Industry and Commerce, either generally or with reference to any particular Part, and different days may be so fixed for different Parts of the said Act :

NOW, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the Insurance Act, 1936 (No. 45 of 1936), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Insurance Act, 1936 (Parts II, V, and VII) (Commencement) Order, 1940.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Parts II, V, and VII of the Insurance Act, 1936 (No. 45 of 1936), shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1940.
