LOCAL REGISTRATION OF TITLE (COLLECTION OF FEES) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 2 of the Public Offices Fees. Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , (No. 2 of 1922), and the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 , (No. 40 of 1937), that the fees payable in any public office shall be collected either in money or by means of stamps or partly in one way and partly in the other way, according as may be from time to time directed by order of the Minister for Finance:

AND WHEREAS the Land Registry is a public office within the meaning of the said Act:

NOW, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , (No. 2 of 1922), and the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 , (No. 40 of 1937), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Registration of Title (Collection of Fees) Order, 1938.

2. In this Order, the expression "the Land Registry" means the central office and every local office established and maintained in pursuance of section 4 of the Local Registration of Title (Ireland) Act, 1891.

3. Each of the several fees payable in the Land Registry under the provisions of the Local Registration of Title (Ireland) Act, 1891, shall be collected by means of stamps.
