STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS, 1936. No. 1.

EMERGENCY IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (No. 91) ORDER, 1936.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), that the Executive Council may, if and whenever they think proper, do by order certain things mentioned in that section and, amongst others, amend, vary, or revoke any order previously made under that section :

AND WHEREAS the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 78) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 561 of 1935), reducing the rate of the duty imposed by the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 42) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 184 of 1934) on certain re-imported woven tissue made wholly or partly of wool or worsted, was made by the Executive Council under the said Section 1 of the said Act :

NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling do hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 91) Order, 1936.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 78) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 561 of 1935), is hereby revoked as on and from the 11th day of January, 1936, to the intent that the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 42) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 184 of 1934), shall have effect in respect of articles imported into Saorstát Éireann on or after the said 11th day of January, 1936, as if the said Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 78) Order, 1935, had not been made.
