THE WIDOWS' AND ORPHANS' PENSIONS (APPOINTED DAYS) ORDER, 1935.

The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 8 of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1935 , hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Appointed Days) Order, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , shall apply to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. In this Order unless the context otherwise requires the following expressions shall have the meanings hereinafter respectively assigned to them :—

" the Act " means the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1935 ;

" the Minister " means the Minister for Local Government and Public Health ;

" the first appointed day " and " the second appointed day " mean the days appointed by the Minister under Section 8 of the Act to be the first appointed day and the second appointed day respectively for the purposes of the Act.

4. The first appointed day shall be the 3rd January, 1936. The second appointed day shall be the 6th January, 1936.
