CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 3) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1935.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), that the Executive Council may at any time by order amend or revoke any quota order or other order previously made under the said Act, including an order made under the said Section 11 amending a previous order :

AND WHEREAS on the 18th day of September, 1934, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 3 of the said Act, made the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 242 of 1934) :

NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) (Amendment) Order, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. Paragraph 4 of the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 242 of 1934), is hereby amended, in respect of the importation into Saorstát Eireann of boots and shoes on or after the 23rd day of January, 1935, by the deletion of sub-paragraph (a) thereof and the said Order shall in relation to such importation be construed and have effect accordingly.
