Dublin and Blessington Steam Tramway (Abandonment) Act, 1932

Certain provisions consequential on the extension of Dublin City.

12.—(1) Every audit of accounts required by law to be made in respect of any period beginning after the 30th day of June 1931 and ending before the appointed day and every payment or other thing required by law to be made or done in consequence of or in relation to any such audit of accounts (including payments by the County Councils under the guarantees) shall be made and done as if no part of the guaranteeing area had been transferred from the county of Dublin to the county borough.

(2) The Corporation shall recoup to the Dublin Council on demand so much of every payment made by the Dublin Council in consequence of or in relation to any such audit of accounts as is mentioned in the next preceding sub-section of this section (including payments under the Dublin guarantee) as bears to such payment the same proportion as the aggregate rateable value at the date of such audit of all rateable hereditaments and tenements situate in the portion of the guaranteeing area which is within the county borough on that date bears to the aggregate rateable value on the said date of all rateable hereditaments and tenements situate in any part of the guaranteeing area except the portion of that area which is within the county of Wicklow on the said date.

(3) All moneys payable by the Corporation to the Dublin Council under this section shall be raised by the Corporation by means of the municipal rate off the portion of the guaranteeing area for the time being situate within the county borough.

(4) This section shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of July 1931.
