STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1930. No. 22.

FORESTRY ACT, 1928 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1930.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 20 of the Forestry Act, 1928 (No. 34 of 1928), that that Act shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by an order of the Minister for Agriculture:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act should come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1930:

NOW I, PATRICK HOGAN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (2) of section 20 of the Forestry Act, 1928 (No. 34 of 1928), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Forestry Act, 1928 (Commencement) Order, 1930.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 1st day of April, 1930, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Forestry Act, 1928 (No. 34 of 1928), shall come into operation.
