CONSTITUTION (AMENDMENT No. 14) ACT, 1929.


AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION BY DELETING THE PROVISIONS NOW CONTAINED THEREIN AS TO THE INTRODUCTION AGAIN IN THE SAME SESSION OF A BILL INITIATED IN AND PASSED BY SEANAD EIREANN AND REJECTED BY DÁIL EIREANN AND AS TO THE RECONSIDERATION OF SUCH BILL BY DÁIL EIREANN ON ITS OWN MOTION. [14th May, 1929.]

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—

Amendment of Article 39 of the Constitution.

1.—Article 39 of the Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of the last sentence now contained therein, that is to say, the sentence beginning with the words “If rejected” and ending with the word “motion.”

Short title.

2.—This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 14) Act, 1929.
