THE COURTS OF JUSTICE ACT, 1924 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 2) ORDER, 1924

The following Order, viz.:—The Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1924 (No. 6 of 1924), has been made by the Executive Council.

THE >COURTS OF JUSTICE ACT, 1924 (COMMENCEMENT)

(No. 2) ORDER, 1924, (No. 6 of 1924).

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 2 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924) that that Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed therefor by any Order or orders of the Executive Council, and that different day may be fixed for the commencement of the Act for different purposes;

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act should come into operation on the 11th day of June, 1924, in Dublin City and County, being the Circuit mentioned at No. 1 in the Schedule to the said Act, for the purpose of Part II of the said Act, and for the purpose of Part IV of the said Act in so far as the last-mentioned Part relates to the Circuit Court;

NOW, the Executive Council in exercise of the power in that behalf conferred on them by the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924), and of every and any other power them in that behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1924 (No. 6 of 1924).

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 . (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 11th day of June, 1924, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924), shall come into operation in Dublin City and County, being the Circuit mentioned at No. I in the Schedule to the said Act, for the following purposes, that is to say:—

(a) the purpose of Part II of the Act, and

(b) the purpose of Part IV of the Act so far as that Part relates to the Circuit Court.
