S.I. No. 202/2026 - Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2026 (Commencement) Order 2026

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 15th May, 2026.

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2026 (No. 5 of 2026), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2026 (Commencement) Order 2026.

2. The 8th day of May 2026 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2026 (No. 5 of 2026) shall come into operation:

(a) section 1;

(b) section 2;

(c) section 3(2);

(d) section 4;

(e) section 12;

(f) section 17;

(g) section 19;

(h) section 24;

(i) section 29;

(j) section 31.
