S.I. No. 138/2023 - Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 (Section 4(2)) (Scheme Termination Date) Order 2023


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 31st March, 2023.

I, RODERIC O’GORMAN, Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 4 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 (No. 19 of 2022), following consultation with the Minister for Social Protection and the Minister of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform (as adapted by the Public Expenditure and Reform (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2023 ( S.I. No. 19 of 2023 )) and considering the date specified in the following order appropriate having regard to the matter specified in subsection (3) of that section, hereby make the following order, with respect to which, pursuant to subsection (4) of that section, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving the draft has been passed by each such House:

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 (Section 4(2)) (Scheme Termination Date) Order 2023.

2. The date referred to in the definition of “scheme termination date” in section 4 (1) of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 (No. 19 of 2022) shall be 31 March 2024.

This Order amends the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 to extend the scheme termination date for the financial contribution for hosting temporary protection beneficiaries to 31 March 2024.
