Confidentiality of proceedings

32. (1) A person shall not disclose any information obtained—

(a) by a party to an appeal before an adjudicator to which section 31 (2) does not apply, and

(b) as a result of such an appeal,

to any person other than—

(i) a party to the appeal,

(ii) a legal representative of a party to the appeal,

(iii) the adjudicator,

(iv) a witness whose evidence is relevant to the appeal, to the extent such disclosure is necessary for the witness to give such evidence, or

(v) where an appeal is taken under section 34 , or judicial review proceedings are taken in relation to a screening decision or a matter before an adjudicator, to—

(I) the court,

(II) a party to the appeal or proceedings,

(III) a legal representative of a party to the appeal or proceedings, or

(IV) a witness whose evidence is relevant to the appeal or proceedings, to the extent such disclosure is necessary for the witness to give such evidence.

(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence.
