S.I. No. 503/2020 - Nurses and Midwives (Register of Nurses and Midwives) (Amendment) Rules 2020

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 6th November, 2020.

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011 (No. 41 of 2011), with the approval of the Minister for Health, hereby makes the following rules:-

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Nurses and Midwives (Register of Nurses and Midwives) (Amendment) Rules 2020.

(2) The Principal Rules and these Rules may be cited together as the Nurses and Midwives (Register of Nurses and Midwives) Rules 2018 and 2020.

2. In these Rules “Principal Rules” means the Nurses and Midwives (Register of Nurses and Midwives) Rules 2018 ( S.I. No. 219 of 2018 ).

3. Rule 5 of the Principal Rules is amended by substituting for paragraph (m) the following:

“(m) if applicable, details of current employment as follows:

(i) employment sector;

(ii) workplace name;

(iii) workplace address;

(iv) job title;

(v) employment status;

(vi) whether working in direct patient care / patient facing;

(vii) employment start date;

(viii) employment end date; and

(ix) divisions of register in which practising;”.
