Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 10th August, 2018.

I, SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 (3) of the Health (General Practitioner Service) Act 2018 (No. 13 of 2018), hereby orders as follows:

1. This order may be cited as the Health (General Practitioner Service) Act 2018 (Commencement) Order 2018.

2. The 1st day of September 2018 is appointed as the day on which the Health (General Practitioner Service) Act 2018 (No. 13 of 2018) shall come into operation.

This Order brings into operation all sections of the Health (General Practitioner Service) Act 2018 which provides for the making available of a general practitioner medical and surgical service to persons in receipt of Carer’s Allowance (full or half rate) or Carer’s Benefit.
