S.I. No. 211/2018 - Trade Union Act 1941 (Revocation of Negotiation Licence) (No. 2) Order 2018


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 22nd June, 2018.

I, PAT BREEN, Minister of State at the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 17 of the Trade Union Act 1941 (No. 22 of 1941) (as adapted by the Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 364 of 2017 )), and the Business, Enterprise and Innovation (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 569 of 2017 ), and being satisfied that the holder of the negotiation licence hereinafter referred to has ceased to be an authorised trade union within the meaning of the said Act, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Trade Union Act 1941 (Revocation of Negotiation Licence) (No. 2) Order 2018.

2. The negotiation licence granted to the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union on the 2nd day of December 1993, is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of this Order is to revoke the negotiation licence which was granted to the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union as the union has ceased to exist.
