S.I. No. 116/2012 - Planning and Development (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

I, PHIL HOGAN, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 231 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 , as amended, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Planning and Development (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

(2) These Regulations and the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2011 shall be construed as one and may be collectively cited as the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2012.

Interpretation.

2. In these Regulations, except where the context otherwise requires, “the Regulations” means the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 ( S.I. No. 600 of 2001 ), as amended.

Commencement.

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the date of signature.

Amendment of Article 186 of the Regulations.

4. Article 186(1) of the Regulations is amended by the substitution of “10 weeks” for “16 weeks” wherever it occurs.

Amendment of Article 191 of the Regulations.

5. Article 191(1) of the Regulations is amended by the insertion of “and the local authority shall not make a decision on the application until the applicant has supplied the requested information” after “any such request”.

These Regulations amend the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 to reduce the period prior to the event that an application for a licence for an outdoor event must be made from 16 weeks to 10 weeks.
