I, LEO VARADKAR, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) for the purpose of giving further effect to Article 7(1) of Council Directive No. 2006/126 of 20 December 20061 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as European Communities (Driving Theoretical Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2012. | ||
2. In these Regulations “the Principal Regulations” mean the European Communities (Driving Theoretical Tests) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 52 of 2003 ). | ||
3. These Regulations come into operation twenty one days after the date on which they are signed. | ||
4. The Principal Regulations are amended in Regulation 5(4), by substituting “€45.00” for “€40.60” inserted by the European Communities (Driving Theoretical Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 36 of 2011 ). | ||

These Regulations increase the fee required for a Driver Theory Test from €40.60 to €45.00. | ||
