Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 11th November, 2011.

I, ALAN SHATTER, Minister for Defence, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 (3) of the Defence (Amendment) Act 2011 (No. 17 of 2011), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Defence (Amendment) Act 2011 (Commencement) Order 2011.

2. The 9th day of November 2011 is appointed as the day on which the Defence (Amendment) Act 2011 (No. 17 of 2011) comes into operation.
