S.I. No. 57/2011 - Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Registration of Poultry Premises) (Amendment) Order 2011.

I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 13 of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2007 ( S.I. No. 705 of 2007 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Registration of Poultry Premises) (Amendment) Order 2011.

2. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Registration of Poultry Premises) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 42 of 2008 ) is amended—

(a) in Article 2 by substituting for the definition of “premises”—

“ ‘premises’ includes land (with or without buildings), vehicle, ship or other vessel, aircraft, railway wagon or other means of transport or any container used in transport;”, and

(b) by substituting for Article 4(1)—

“4.(1) The owner or person in charge of poultry shall maintain, on a daily basis, a record of—

(a) all mortalities that occur in the flock or on the premises,

(b) the daily production of eggs in the flock,

(c) the intake of food and water by the flock, and

(d) purchases, sales and supplies of eggs used for breeding purposes or poultry and copies of associated health certificates and commercial documents.”.
