I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6(1) of the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008 (No. 18 of 2008), having regard to the matters set out in section 2 of that Act, hereby order as follows:

Citation.

1. This Order may be cited as the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) (Specification of Institutions) Order 2010.

Specification of Bank of Ireland (UK) plc.

2. Bank of Ireland (UK) plc is specified for the purposes of section 6(1) of the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order is made under Section 6(1) of the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008 (the Act) which provides that the Minister may providefinancial support in respect of any credit institution or subsidiary which the Minister may specify by order.

The institution named in this order may apply to become a participating institution under the Credit Institutions (Eligible Liabilities Guarantee) Scheme 2009 which was made by the Minister pursuant to section 6(4) of the Act.
