DISTRICT COURT DISTRICTS AND AREAS (AMENDMENT) AND VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS (DISTRICT No. 18) ORDER, 2007.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 31st August, 2007.

The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), as amended by section 43 of the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 (No. 39 of 1961), section 16 of the Courts Act, 1971 (No. 36 of 1971) and section 29 of the Courts Service Act, 1998 (No. 8 of 1998) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby orders as follows:

1. (a) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (District No. 18) Order, 2007.

(b) This Order shall come into operation on 1st September, 2007.

2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by—

(a) the substitution at reference number 28 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Bandon—

First and Third Friday in each month at 10:30 a.m.

and

Fourth Monday in each month at 10.30 a.m.”

(b) the substitution at reference number 29 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Bantry—

Second Friday in February, April, June, October and December at 10.30 a.m.

and

Fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m.”

(c) the substitution at reference number 36 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Clonakilty—

First and Third Tuesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(d) the substitution at reference number 37 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Coachford—

Second Wednesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 10:30 a.m.”

(e) the substitution at reference number 40 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Dunmanway—

Fourth Wednesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(f) the substitution at reference number 44 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Kinsale—

First and Second Thursday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(g) the substitution at reference number 45 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Macroom—

First and Third Wednesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(h) the substitution at reference number 48 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Millstreet—

Third Thursday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(i) the substitution at reference number 53 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Skibbereen—

Second and Fourth Tuesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

3. The Second Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by—

(a) the substitution at reference number 23 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Bandon—

First and Third Friday in each month at 10:30 a.m.

and

Fourth Monday in each month at 10.30 a.m.”

(b) the substitution at reference number 24 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Bantry—

Second Friday in February, April, June, October and December at 10.30 a.m.

and

Fourth Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m.”

(c) the substitution at reference number 31 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Clonakilty—

First and Third Tuesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(d) the substitution at reference number 32 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Coachford—

Second Wednesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 10:30 a.m.”

(e) the substitution at reference number 35 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Dunmanway—

Fourth Wednesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(f) the substitution at reference number 39 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Kinsale—

First and Second Thursday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(g) the substitution at reference number 40 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Macroom—

First and Third Wednesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(h) the substitution at reference number 43 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Millstreet—

Third Thursday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

(i) the substitution at reference number 48 for the matter in column (4) of the following:

“Skibbereen—

Second and Fourth Tuesday in each month at 10:30 a.m.”

4. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.
