SOCIAL WELFARE AND PENSIONS ACT 2007 (SECTION 35) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 2007

The Minister for Social and Family Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2007 (No.8 of 2007), hereby orders as follows:

Citation.
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2007 (Section 35) (Commencement) Order 2007.
|
|
|
Commencement.
|
2. (a) The 3rd day of April 2007 is appointed as the day on which sections 35(a)(ii) and (iii) of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2007 (No.8 of 2007), come into operation.
|

(b) The 5th day of April 2007 is appointed as the day on which sections 35(c)(ii) and (iii) of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2007, come into operation.
|
| |
(c) The 6th day of April 2007 is appointed as the day on which section 35(b)(ii) of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2007 (No. 8 of 2007), comes into operation.

This Order provides for the commencement, with effect from in the first week in April 2007, of Sections 35(a)(ii), 35(a)(iii), 35(b)(ii), 35(c)(ii) and 35(c)(iii) of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2007, which remove obsolete means related provisions.
