EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulation and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

Following on from a decision taken on 14 February 2003 by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) withdrawing the designation of Ukraine as a non-co-operative country / territory, this Regulation revokes S.I No. 44 of 2003 (which had designated Ukraine as a state that did not have in place adequate procedures for the detection of money-laundering pursuant to Section 57A of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001 ).
