S.I. No. 138/2003 - Financial Transfers (Angola) (Revocation) Order 2003

I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (4) of the Financial Transfers Act 1992 (No. 27 of 1992), hereby order as follows:

1.     This Order may be cited as the Financial Transfers (Angola)(Revocation) Order 2003.

2.     The Financial Transfers (Angola)(Prohibition) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 75 of 2002 ) is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Statutory Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

The effect of this Order is to revoke S.I. No. 75 of 2002 which prohibited Financial Transfers pursuant to Council Regulation (EC) No 1705/981 of 28 July, 1998 concerning the interruption of certain economic relations with Angola. Council Regulation (EC) No. 1705/98 has been repealed by Council Regulation (EC) No. 146/20032 of 27 January 2003.
