S.I. No. 531/2002 - Local Government Act, 2001 (Section 231) Order, 2002

The Minister for the Environment and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 231 of the Local Government Act, 2001 (No. 37 of 2001) and after consultation with the Minister for Finance hereby orders as follows:-

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 2001 (Section 231 Order, 2002.

2. Section 231 of the Local Government Act, 2001 shall have effect on and from the 1^st day of January, 2003 in respect of the joint drainage committees specified in the Schedule to this Order.
