S.I. No. 13/2002 - Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Classical Swine Fever) (Restriction on Imports From Spain) (No. 2) Order 2001 (Second Amendment) Order 2002


I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 3 and 30 of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 1999 ( S.I. No. 307 of 1999 )), for the purpose, inter alia of giving effect to Commission Decision 2001/925/EC of 20 December 20011 as amended by Commission Decision 2002/31/EC of 14 January 20022 , hereby order as follows:-

1.   This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Classical Swine Fever) (Restriction on Imports from Spain) (No.2) Order 2001 (Second Amendment) Order 2002.

2.   The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Classical Swine Fever) (Restriction on Imports from Spain) (No.2) Order 2001 ( S.I. No. 358 of 2001 ) is amended by the substitution for the definition of “Commission Decision” (inserted by Article 2(a) of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Classical Swine Fever) (Restriction on Imports from Spain) (No.2) Order 2001 (Amendment) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 5 of 2002 )), of—

“‘Commission Decision” means Commission Decision 2001/925/EC of 20 December 20011 as amended by Commission Decision 2002/31/EC of 14 January 20022;”.
