S.I. No. 533/2001 - An Bord Bia (Levy) Regulations, 2001

I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 38 (11) of the An Bord Bia Act, 1994 (No. 22 of 1994), make the following regulations:

1.      (1)     These Regulations may be cited as the An Bord Bia (Levy) Regulations, 2001.

(2)     These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 2002.

2.       The Schedule to the An Bord Bia Act, 1994 (No. 22 of 1994), is amended:

(a)      by the substitution of the following Table for the Table to Part I,

(b)      by the insertion in paragraph (c) of Part I of “or a form to like effect” after the word “Schedule”,

and

(c)      by the substitution of the matter in the Schedule to these Regulations for the matter in Part III.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

The purpose of these Regulations is to provide that the stamps, by which the export levy under Section 37 of the An Bord Bia Act 1994 is payable are in convenient Euro amounts.
