S.I. No. 393/2001 - National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Order, 2001.

I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on my by section 5 (2) of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act. 2000 (No. 2 of 2000), hereby order as follows

1.   This Order may be cited as the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Order, 2001.

2.   The First Schedule of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (No. 2 of 2000) is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph 1. (b) after “live animals” of

“and persons to whom the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1966 to 2001 (Approval and Registration of Dealers and Dealers Premises) Order, 2001 ( S.I. No. 79 of 2001 ) applies who deal in bovine animals”

The effect of this Order is to extend the application of the National Beef Assurance Scheme Act, 2000 (No. 2 of 2000) to persons to whom the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1966 to 2001 (Approval and Registration of Dealers and Dealers Premises) Order, 2001 ( S.I. No. 79 of 2001 ) applies who deal in bovine animals.
