S.I. No. 57/2001 - Qualifications (Education and Training) Act, 1999 (Commencement) Order, 2001

I, Michael Woods, Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act, 1999 (No. 26 of 1999), hereby order as follows:

1.      This order may be cited as the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act, 1999 (Commencement) Order, 2001.

2.      The twenty sixth day of February, 2001, is hereby appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act, 1999 (No. 26 of 1999), shall come into operation, namely—

(a)      Parts I and II, and

(b)      Part VIII and the First, Second and Third Schedules, insofar as those provisions apply to Part II.
