S.I. No. 47/2001 - Aviation Regulation Act, 2001 (Establishment Day) Order, 2001

I, Mary O'Rourke, Minister for Public Enterprise, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Aviation Regulation Act, 2001 (No. 1 of 2001), hereby order as follows:

1.      This Order may be cited as the Aviation Regulation Act, 2001 (Establishment Day) Order, 2001.

2.      The 27th day of February, 2001, is hereby appointed as the establishment day for the purposes of the Aviation Regulation Act, 2001 (No. 1 of 2001).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the legal instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

The effect of this Order is to provide that for the purposes of section 3 of the Aviation Regulation Act 2001 , the establishment day for the Act is 27th of February 2001. On that day, there shall stand established the Commission for Aviation Regulation to perform the functions conferred on it by the Aviation Regulation Act 2001 .
