S.I. No. 3/2001 - Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator) (Operating) Amendment Regulations 2001

Bord na gCon in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sub-section (3) of Section 40 of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (no. 12 of 1958) hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say:-

(1)     The minimum unit on the win pool and the place pool is increased from 50p to £1.

(2)     The minimum stake on all other pools is increased from 50p to £1.

(3)     All totalisator dividends shall be declared to a £1 stake.

(4)     These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator) (Operating) Amendment Regulations 2001.

(5)     These regulations shall come into operation on the 8th day of January 2001.

The effect of these regulations is to amend the Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator (Operating) Regulations, 1971 to allow for the minimum unit on the win and place pool to be increased to £1 and for the minimum stake on all other pools to be increased to £1.
