S.I. No. 195/2000 - Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Section 17 and Section 18) (Dublin and Louth) Order, 2000


An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 17 and Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1.     This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Section 17 and Section 18) (Dublin and Louth) Order, 2000.

2.     The existing Registrars' Districts of Bray No.2, Dun Laoghaire No.1, Dun Laoghaire No. 2 and Killiney shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Dun Laoghaire.

3.     The existing Registrars' Districts of Ardee and Dundalk shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Dundalk.

4.     This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 2000.

Explanatory Note

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Registrars' Districts in the functional areas of the East Coast Area Health Board and the North Eastern Health Board so as to reduce the number of such districts in those areas.
