S.I. No. 102/2000 - Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000


The Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4 of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1993 (No. 27 of 1993) and Rule 1 (1) (m) (as amended by section 26 of the Social Welfare Act, 1997 (No. 10 of 1997)) of Part III of the Third Schedule to the said Act hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and construction.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000.

(2) These Regulations and the Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) Regulations, 1995 to 1998 shall be construed together as one and may be cited as the Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) Regulations, 1995 to 2000.

Commencement.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 3 April, 2000.

Amendment to Regulations.

3. The Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) Regulations, 1995 ( S.I. No. 382 of 1995 ) are hereby amended by the substitution in article 33 (as amended by article 4 of Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1998 ( S.I. No. 183 of 1998 )) for “£50.00” of “£75.00”.

These Regulations provide for an increase from £50 to £75 in the amount of weekly earnings disregarded from employment of a rehabilitative nature in the assessment of means for the purposes of Supplementary Welfare Allowance, with effect from 3rd April, 2000.
