S.I. No. 338/1999 - Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Section 2(7)) (Amendment) Order, 1999

I, JOE JACOB, Minister of State at the Department of Public Enterprise in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 2 (7) of the Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (No. 9 of 1987), the Tourism and Trade (Transfer of Department Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 422 of 1993 ) (as adapted by the Tourism, Transport and Communications (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 17 of 1993 )) and the Transport, Energy and Communications (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1996 ( S.I. No. 395 of 1996 ) (and as further adapted by the Transport, Energy and Communications (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 299 of 1997 ) and the Public Enterprise (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1998 ( S.I. No. 16 of 1998 ) hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Section 2(7)) (Amendment) Order, 1999.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 2nd day of November 1999.

3. The Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Section 2) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 283 of 1987 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of the following Schedule for the Schedule to that Order (inserted by the Gas (Amendment) Act 1987 (Section 2(7)) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 119 of 1997 ).

“SCHEDULE”

Article 4(1)

Area of application	Functions Application.
The geographical counties of Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Tipperary, Waterford and Wicklow.	All the functions contained in this Order.

This Order further amends the Schedule to the Gas (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Section 2) Order, 1987 by the substitution of a new Schedule containing additional areas where the functions conferred by the 1987 Order on Bord Gáis Éireann may be exercised.
