INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT (ENTERPRISE IRELAND) ACT, 1998 (ESTABLISHMENT DAY) ORDER, 1998.

I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Industrial Development (Enterprise Ireland) Act, 1998 (No. 34 of 1998), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Development (Enterprise Ireland) Act, 1998 (Establishment Day) Order, 1998.

2. The 23rd day of July, 1998, is hereby appointed as establishment day for the purposes of the Industrial Development (Enterprise Ireland) Act, 1998 (No. 34 of 1998).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints the 23rd day of July, 1998, as the establishment day for the purposes of the Industrial Development (Enterprise Ireland) Act, 1998 .

On the establishment day new structures for industrial development will come into operation. In particular, a new State Agency, Enterprise Ireland, will be established, and two existing agencies, An Bord Tráchtála and Forbairt, will be dissolved.
