ALIENS (AMENDMENT) (NO. 5) ORDER 1997

I, John O'Donoghue, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 5 of the Aliens Act, 1935 (No. 14 of 1935), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This order may be cited as the Aliens (Amendment) (No. 5) Order, 1997.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 30th day of August, 1997.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Aliens Order, 1946 (S.R. No. 395 of 1946), is hereby amended by:

the insertion of "Cavan Garda Station" after "Bridewell Garda Station, Dublin"; "Drogheda Garda Station", "Dundalk Garda Station" and "Dun Laoghaire Garda Station" after "Cork Prison"; "Monaghan Garda Station" after "Limerick Prison"; "Store Street Garda Station" after "Sligo Garda Station" and Togher Garda Station" after "Swinford Garda Station".
