CRIMINAL JUSTICE (DRUG TRAFFICKING) ACT, 1996 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1996.

I, NORA OWEN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 (No. 29 of 1996), hereby order as follows:

1. This order may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 (Commencement) Order, 1996.

2. The 9th day of September, 1996 is hereby appointed as the day on which the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 (No. 29 of 1996), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into operation the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 , with effect from 9th September 1996.
