STOCK EXCHANGE ACT, 1995 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1995.

I, RUAIRÍ QUINN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Stock Exchange Act, 1995 (No.9 of 1995), hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Stock Exchange Act, 1995 (Commencement) Order, 1995.

2. Section 6, section 50 and the definition of "statutory functions" in section 3 of the Stock Exchange Act, 1995 , shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1995.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order commences from 1 August, 1995, section 6, section 50 and the definition of "statutory functions" in section 3 of the Stock Exchange Act, 1995 . This is being done in order to facilitate commencement of most of the Investment Intermediaries Act, 1995 from 1 August, 1995. The remainder of the Stock Exchange Act, 1995 is expected to be brought into operation shortly.
